Parks & Rec typically makes every effort to give us notice by 2pm, however, they are at times not able to relay closed field information especially with late weather events.  Just because the field status on our site may list a field open, that is under the assumption that the last known field condition was perceived to be playable and does not necessarily reflect the actual field condition at the time of any event.  It is expected, in those situations, that all coaches will use common sense and their best judgement on whether a field is playable or not.  Do not try to play just to get a game/practice in if the field is not in the proper condition to do so.  It is a safety risk to all players involved, along with potentially damaging the fields.  If it is found the field status and/or field conditions are being ignored or abused, NLL will make best guesses for field status decisions, league wide, based on current and predicted weather conditions.
